September 19, 2018 TO: Equity Markets Advisory Committee RE: Additional Speakers for October 3 Equity Markets Advisory Committee Meeting
The fall meeting of the Equity Markets Advisory Committee has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 3, 2018. The meeting will be held at the Investment Company Institute in Washington, DC. The meeting will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. Eastern time and should conclude no later than 1:00 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
Guest Speakers
We are pleased to announce the following guest speakers will join the meeting (new speakers are indicated in bold):
- Tal Cohen, Senior Vice President, North American Equities, Nasdaq, Joe Mecane, Head of Execution Services, Citadel Securities, and John Ramsay, Chief Market Policy Officer, IEX, to discuss measures that would enhance liquidity for thinly-traded equity securities;
- David H. Saltiel, Associate Director, and Alex Jadin, Special Counsel & Policy Advisor, from the Office of Analytics and Research, to discuss the market data tools and research made available through the SEC’s website; and
- David Shillman and John Roeser, Associate Directors of the Office of Market Supervision, to discuss OMS’s rulemaking activities and other priorities.
