September 7, 2018 TO: Internal Audit Committee RE: Registration Open for November 27 Internal Audit Committee Meeting and Dinner
As you may recall, the Institute’s Internal Audit Committee will meet in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, November 27 at the ICI’s offices at 1401 H Street, NW. The committee will meet from 9:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. A joint meeting with the Chief Risk Officer Committee will be held that same day from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m., followed by a joint dinner of both committees. The dinner will be held beginning with cocktails at 6:30 p.m.
While there is no cost to attend the committee meetings, you must register to attend them so we have an accurate head count. There is a charge of $115 to attend the joint committee dinner, which must be paid at the time of registration. You may register for the meeting and/or dinner through the following link: www.ici.org/reg/iac. At the time of registration you will be asked to provide input regarding the meeting agenda.
In addition to any issues submitted by members for our Internal Audit Committee meeting, we are expecting a presentation from two of Deloitte’s partners on agile auditing and how it can enhance the effectiveness/efficiency of the internal audit function. For the joint meeting, we are expecting to have a presentation on and a discussion of the audit and risk issues relating to the use of cloud technology – both before a move to the cloud, during a move, and following a move.
