May 24, 2018 TO: Tax Committee RE: Preliminary Agenda for June 20-21 Tax Committee Meetings in Minneapolis, MN
As we previously informed you, the next meeting of the ICI Tax Committee will be held on Wednesday, June 20 and Thursday, June 21 in Minneapolis, MN.[1] Ameriprise Financial will host the meeting, which will be located at the Ameriprise Financial Client Service Center, 901 3rd Avenue S.

Lunch will be served on both days; breakfast will be available on Thursday morning.
A hotel room block (at a group rate of $199) has been reserved at the Hilton Minneapolis, 1001 Marquette Avenue, Minneapolis, MN. To reserve a room at this hotel, please call 1-888-933-5363 or 612-376-1000 and identify yourself as a member of the Investment Company Institute. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, May 30, 2018, to receive the ICI rate.
The meeting on Wednesday, June 20 will begin at 2:00 p.m.; representatives from KPMG will lead a discussion on state tax issues and disruptive technologies. The meeting on Thursday, June 21 will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will focus on all tax issues of interest to the industry. Preliminary agendas are attached.
As in prior years, the ICI has procured tickets to a baseball game (Minneapolis Twins vs. Boston Red Sox) for the evening of Wednesday, June 20. You must register by Tuesday, May 29 to attend the baseball game. Alternatively, we are arranging dinner at a nearby restaurant. Dinner will start at approximately 6:00 p.m. If you plan to attend the dinner or the baseball game, you must register at our registration site; the cost of dinner will be $115.00. Full refunds of the $115.00 will be made to anyone canceling a dinner reservation by 3:00 p.m. (Eastern) on Friday, June 15. Refunds will not be provided for dinner reservations cancelled thereafter.
Additional information regarding the June committee dinner, baseball game, meeting agendas, etc., will be distributed as soon as the information becomes available.
Meeting attendees are eligible for approximately 7.00 hours of CPE credit (Taxation). The Investment Company Institute is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (“NASBA”) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
