The next meeting of the Municipal Securities Advisory Committee has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at the offices of the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, N.W., Washington, DC. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. Eastern time and should conclude no later than 1:00 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
We are pleased that Rebecca Olsen, Director of the SEC’s Office of Municipal Securities will join us to discuss the SEC’s priorities and regulatory initiatives. Mike Post, General Counsel, and Lanny Schwartz, Chief Regulatory Office, will also join us from the MSRB. David Vaudt, Governmental Accounting Standards Board Chairman, will lead a discussion regarding GASB’s priorities and Bruce Serchuk, a partner at Nixon Peabody, will discuss advance refunding alternatives post-tax reform. The meeting agenda is attached.
