Trading and Markets RE: Joint Trades Submit Comment Letter to the Legal Entity Identifier ("LEI") Regulatory Oversight Committee ("ROC")
On December 1st, 2017, ICI along with the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Associations’ Asset Management Group, Investment Advisor Association, and Managed Funds Association filed a comment letter to the LEI Regulatory Oversight Committee. The comment letter is in response to the LEI ROC consultation document on funds relationships in the Global LEI system.[1]
The letter underscores the Associations’ concerns with the proposed mandate of fund relationships information in the LEI System. The letter also recommends further study of this topic including possible additions to the current LEI Level 1 data.
