The fall meeting of the Equity Markets Advisory Committee has been scheduled for Wednesday, September 13, 2017. The meeting will be held at the Investment Company Institute in Washington, D.C., DSCR (12th Floor). The meeting will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. Eastern time and should conclude no later than 1:00 p.m.
Guest Speakers
We are pleased to have the following guest speakers joining us:
- David Shillman and Jo Anne Swindler, Division of Trading and Markets, SEC (to discuss markets structure and steps that the SEC’s Division of Trading and Markets is taking in advance of MiFID II’s implementation date);
- John Jannes, IHS Markit (to discuss MiFID II’s best execution requirement); and
- Michael Blaugrund, NYSE, Bryan Harkins, Bats, and John Ramsay, IEX (to discuss exchange views on the Bats market close proposal).
