The ICI submitted the attached letter, requesting that the Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service include in their 2017-2018 Priority Guidance Plan guidance on certain issues concerning retirement security. The ICI submitted a separate letter with recommendations concerning regulated investment companies and their shareholders.
The letter asks for guidance relating to the following matters:
- Final regulations under Code section 411(a)(11);
- Modifications to the Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System;
- 403(b) plan termination;
- Tax treatment of escheated amounts from plans and IRAs; and
- Application of the one-per-year limit on IRA rollovers.
