As you know, the next meeting of the SEC Rules Committee will take place on Tuesday, June 13th. The meeting will take place at the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, N.W., Washington, D.C., in the David Silver Conference Room on the 12th Floor, 12:00 noon – 3:30 pm Eastern time. Lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 am.
We are pleased to have several guest speakers for the June meeting. We will be joined by Daniel O’Brien and Keith Waehrer, Partners at Bates White, as well as Peter Morgan, Partner at Blank Rome. Our guest speakers will discuss antitrust theories related to common ownership of companies in the same concentrated industry. A draft agenda for the meeting is attached to this memorandum. If you plan to attend the meeting, please register by visiting our registration site at www.ici.org/reg/sec. Please include on the online form any other topics you would like to discuss with other members at the meeting. For those members attending the meeting in person in Washington, D.C., we plan to hold a dinner with ICI staff the evening of Monday, June 12th. If you plan to attend the dinner, please register to attend via the link below no later than Tuesday, May 30th, as seating is available on a first-come first-serve basis. Dinner attendees will be charged $105.00. Please note that if you cancel within 72 hours of the dinner, your payment will not be refunded.
