March 8, 2017 TO: Internal Audit Committee RE: April 19 Internal Audit Committee Meeting in Ft. Lauderdale, FL - Registration Now Open
Registration link: http://www.ici.org/reg/iaac
The spring meeting of the Internal Audit Committee has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Tom Kuecks at Franklin Templeton has graciously agreed to host the meeting at their office located at 300 Southeast 2nd St. in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. and we anticipate it will conclude no later than 2:30 p.m. Consistent with the committee’s tradition, we are also planning to hold an informal dinner of the committee on Tuesday, April 18, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
You can register for the meeting and dinner at the link above. While the meeting is free, there is a $109 charge for the dinner, which you must pay at the time of registration. When you register for the meeting, you will be asked to provide an issue for discussion at the meeting, as those issues will be the focus of the agenda. An agenda, including the issues submitted by attendees, will be sent to registrants prior to the meeting.
According to Tom, the hotel that is closest to his office is The Riverside on Las Olas Boulevard, which is 3 blocks away from the meeting location. He recommends that, if you elect to stay at The Riverside, you should ask for a room in the “Tower” as those rooms are newer and more modern. He also advises that, while there are several hotel options on Fort Lauderdale Beach, those would necessitate a cab ride to his office.
Please let us know if you have any questions or if we can be of any assistance to you. We look forward to seeing you next month!
Tamara K. Salmon
Associate General Counsel
