The Investment Company Institute’s Sales and Marketing Committee will meet on Thursday, September 22, 2016, in Academy Hall ABC at FHI 360 Conference Center located on the 8th floor of 1825 Connecticut Ave, NW, in Washington, DC. A continental breakfast will be available beginning at 8:00 am, lunch will be provided at approximately 12:20 pm, and the meeting will end at 1:00 pm. Agenda topics will include a Washington Update from ICI President and CEO Paul Schott Stevens, an in-depth look at the implications on fund distribution of the DoL’s Fiduciary Rule, and a panel focused on planning for 2017 and beyond—what are fund firms doing differently and why. A preliminary meeting agenda will be sent closer to the meeting date.
Committee members should register for the Sales and Marketing Committee meeting and the networking dinner at www.ici.org/reg/smc. To ensure that all interested ICI member firms are able to send a representative to the meeting, registration is limited to one individual per member firm. If space permits, we will open registration to a second representative per member firm as the meeting date nears. When registering, please provide any topics you would like addressed at the meeting.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Washington Hilton Hotel at 1919 Connecticut Ave, NW, for meeting attendees at a rate of $259.00 plus room tax. The Hilton is across the street from the FHI 360 Conference Center. To make your hotel reservation, please call the hotel directly at 202-483-3000 prior to September 1, 2016 and mention your Investment Company Institute affiliation.
An optional networking dinner for meeting attendees will be held on Wednesday evening, September 21 (reception at 6:30 pm and dinner at 7:15 pm) at the Darlington House, which is located at 1610 20th Street, NW (the Dupont Circle neighborhood), in Washington, DC. The restaurant is an approximate four-block walk from the Washington Hilton. The cost to attend the dinner is $105. Please note that if you cancel a dinner registration with less than three business days’ notice, the $105 will NOT be refunded.
Business attire will be appropriate for the committee meeting and business casual attire for the dinner.
If you have any logistical questions about the September 22 meeting or the associated dinner, please contact Caitlin Sneff-Nuckles at 202-326-5970 or Caitlin.SneffNuckles@ici.org . Please contact Linda Brenner with suggestions for the meeting agenda. We look forward to seeing you in September.
