TO: EQUITY MARKETS ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 19-16 RE: IMPROVING SECURITIES INFORMATION PROCESSORS - ICI CALL SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 21 AT 10:30 ET

 

At a meeting on June 13, ICI members, other industry participants, and regulators discussed the operations and limitations of the securities information processors (“SIPs”).  We will hold a call of the Equity Markets Advisory Committee on Tuesday, June 21, at 10:30 a.m. (Eastern) to discuss the potential for ICI to lead efforts to improve SIPs for funds.  The call will address the following topics: (1) improving transparency and accountability of SIP operations; (2) enhancing the data provided by SIPs; (3) providing a buy-side voice in SIP governance; and (4) creating faster and more resilient SIPs.
