RE: IRS SEMINARS ON INFORMATION REPORTING

This fall, the Internal Revenue Service Martinsburg
Computing Center will be conducting a series of seminars on
information reporting. Topics to be covered will include IRS
Form 1099 magnetic media/electronic reporting, backup withholding
and penalties for "incorrect" taxpayer identification numbers.
The attached announcement lists the cities and dates for the
seminars. Interested persons are directed to contact the
appropriate local IRS office (telephone numbers provided) after
August 1 for the exact locations and times.
