RE: IDAHO EXTENDS REGISTRATION DEADLINE

As we previously informed you, investment adviser
representative registration in Idaho was scheduled to be
effective July 1, 1991. (See Institute Memorandum to Investment
Adviser Members No. 15-91 and Investment Adviser Associate
Members No. 16-91, dated April 22, 1991.)
The Idaho Department of Finance recently extended the
deadline for registration to August 30, 1991. The registration
application must contain Form U-4, a $20 filing fee, fingerprints
and evidence of passage of the Uniform Investment Adviser Law
Examination (Series 65). However, applicants will be allowed
until December 31, 1992 to pass the Series 65 examination. An
Idaho broker dealer registered representative does not have to be
separately registered as an investment adviser representative.
A copy of Idaho's investment adviser representative
registration instructions is attached. We will keep you informed
of further developments.
