TO: REGISTERED FUND CPO ADVISORY COMMITTEE RE: LAST OPPORTUNITY TO REGISTER FOR OCTOBER 14 MEETING OF REGISTERED FUND CPO ADVISORY COMMITTEE; DRAFT AGENDA ATTACHED
As you know, the first meeting of the Registered Fund CPO Advisory Committee will be held next Tuesday, October 14, at ICI’s offices in Washington, D.C. The meeting will begin promptly at 12 p.m. Eastern time and should conclude no later than 3:30 p.m. Eastern time. Lunch will be served at 11:45 am, and there will be a short break in the afternoon.
Attached is a draft agenda for the meeting. We are pleased to announce that two senior representatives from the National Futures Association will join us for part of the meeting: Jennifer Sunu, Director, Compliance, and Tracey Hunt, Associate Director, Compliance.
As noted on the draft agenda, we will ask members attending the meeting to introduce themselves briefly to the group. These introductions are intended not only to “break the ice” but to inform ICI staff and other attendees as to the perspective you bring to the discussion and what you hope to gain from your participation at the meeting. An attendee might share, for example, his/her position in the organization, whether the firm is registered as a CPO and/or CTA, and whether the firm serves as CPO/CTA for registered funds only or for registered funds and other clients.
If you have additional agenda items to suggest, or questions that you would like ICI to pass along to our NFA speakers on a no-names basis, please feel free to contact me at (202) 326-5819 or rgraham@ici.org. Meeting materials and a final agenda will be circulated via email by close of business this Friday, October 10.
If you have not yet registered for the meeting but wish to attend, please contact Pat Dickerson at (202) 326-5811 or pdickerson@ici.org as soon as possible to register. Space is limited. Please also let Pat know of any dietary preferences (e.g., kosher, vegetarian, gluten free).
We look forward to seeing you on October 14.
Rachel H. Graham
Senior Associate Counsel
