RE: START-UP EXPENSE MEETING - JUNE 24, 1991

A meeting has been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June
24th to discuss the Institute's response to the IRS coordinated
issue paper regarding treatment of expenses incurred by
investment advisers when forming new mutual funds. (See
Institute memorandum to Tax Committee No. 10-91 and Members - One
Per Complex No. 16-91, dated April 15, 1991.)
The meeting will be held in the Institute's conference
room. Please contact Betsy Teter at 202-955-3529, if you plan to
attend. Those planning to attend will be sent a copy of the
Institute's draft response prior to the meeting.
