TO: TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE No. 3-14 RE: TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE MEETING - REGISTRATION, HOTEL, AGENDA, & DINNER - MARCH 27 & 28, 2014

 

The next meeting of the Technology Committee will take place on Thursday and Friday March 27 & 28, 2014 in Austin, Texas. The meetings will take place at Dimensional Fund Advisors, 6300 Bee Cave Road, Building One, Austin, TX. The Committee meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at approximately 3:00 p.m. on both days. PLEASE REMEMBER TO SUBMIT YOUR DISCUSSION TOPICS FOR “SHOP TALK” ON THE ATTACHED FORM.

AGENDA

Jim Halpert, Partner, DLA Piper, overview of the NIST Cyber Security Framework.

Daniel T. Steiner, ICI Mutual, overview of the Cyber insurance market.

John Marshall, CEO, AirWatch, overview of mobile device management.

HOTEL

A block of rooms at the Intercontinental Stephen F. Austin, 701 Congress Avenue, Austin, TX (800)235-4670 are reserved for Committee members for the evenings of March 26 & 27, 2014. The room rate is $229 single/double, please ask for a room in the Investment Company Institute’s room block. Rooms are limited. The hotel requires all reservations be guaranteed with a one night’s deposit by Wednesday March 5, 2014 to receive the room block rate. Deposits are refundable if the hotel receives notice of cancellation at least 72 hours prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained.

COMMITTEE DINNER

A Committee dinner is scheduled for the evening of March 27 at Stubbs Bar-B-Q, 801 Red River, Austin, TX. The restaurant is within walking distance of the committee hotel. Committee members (or their substitutes) electing to attend the committee dinner will pay the standard amount of $98.00 via credit card as part of the registration process. Please note, if you confirm attendance for the TC dinner and cancel within 3 business days of the scheduled event, you will be charged for your portion of the pre-arranged dinner.

Please register for this committee meeting and dinner using our Cvent online registration at www.ici.org/reg/tech. Committee members (or their substitutes) electing to attend the committee dinner will pay the standard amount of $98.00 via credit card as part of the registration process.
