INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE No. 26-13
ICI GLOBAL TAX COMMITTEE No. 20-13 RE: ICI/ICI GLOBAL MEMBERS MEETING IN MUMBAI ON NOVEMBER 14, 2013

ICI and ICI Global members are invited to a meeting in Mumbai on Thursday November 14 at 10:00 a.m. to discuss tax meetings that we will hold earlier that week with Indian government officials.  The issues for the government meetings are described in our letter sent to Dr. Shome on October 22. [1]

The meeting will be held at the office of Franklin Templeton Investments.

Mittal Tower A, 3rd Floor
210 Nariman Point
Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra-East, Mumbai

Time permitting, we also will discuss other tax issues of interest including the U.S. Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (“FATCA”), the G-20 initiative to encourage governments to automatically exchange tax information, and financial transaction taxes (“FTTs”).  Lunch will be served after the meeting.

If you or any colleagues you have in India are interested in attending this meeting, please have them send an e-mail to me (lawson@ici.org) and to my assistant Ezella Wynn (ewynn@ici.org).  We will forward the attendee’s name to Franklin’s Mumbai office for admission to the office on the 14th.

Please feel free to contact me at your convenience if you or your colleagues have any questions about these issues, the meetings with government officials, and/or this members meeting.
