TO: ICI GLOBAL TAX COMMITTEE No. 13-13 RE: ICI GLOBAL TAX COMMITTEE CALL ON 2 JULY TO DISCUSS FATCA

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (“OECD”) released the attached consultation document following a meeting on 13 June with a Business Advisory Group (“BAG”) formed to discuss the U.S. Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (“FATCA”).  The consultation document asks 19 questions (numbered and attached separately) regarding a proposal under consideration that effectively would expand FATCA by developing a multilateral model for exchanging automatically financial account (e.g., tax) information.  ICI Global will be submitting responses to these questions on 19 July.

To develop ICI Global’s position on these questions, a Tax Committee conference call will be held on Tuesday, 2 July, at 10.00 (U.S. Eastern time) – 15.00 in London and 16.00 in Central Europe.  To participate in the call, please RSVP to my assistant (Ezella Wynn) at ewynn@ici.org.  The call-in numbers will be 800-857-2255 for participants in the U.S. and 1-517-308-9126 for participants outside of the U.S.  The passcode for all participants will be 55481.

Thank you.
