TO: TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE No. 13-12 RE: TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE MEETING REGISTRATION, AGENDA HIGHLIGHTS, & HOTEL DEADLINE - NOVEMBER 8 & 9, 2012

 

The next meeting of the Technology Committee will take place on Thursday and Friday November 8 & 9, 2012 in Malvern, PA.  The meetings will take place at The Vanguard Group, Majestic Building, 700 Admiral Nelson Drive.  The Committee meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at approximately 3:00 p.m. on both days.  A preliminary agenda is forthcoming. PLEASE REMEMBER TO SUBMIT YOUR DISCUSSION TOPICS FOR “SHOP TALK” ON THE ATTACHED FORM.

ONLINE REGISTRATION

Please register for this Committee meeting and dinner using our Cvent online registration at www.ici.org/reg/tech.  Committee members (or their substitutes) electing to attend the Committee dinner will pay the standard amount of $98.00 via credit card as part of the registration process.  Information on the Committee dinner is forthcoming.  If you have any questions about registration, please contact Valencia Paige at 202-326-5846 or Valencia.paige@ici.org.

HOTEL

A block of rooms at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center, 1 Liberty Boulevard, Malven, PA, (800-575-1776 or 610-296-9800) are reserved for Committee members for the evenings of November 7th and 8th, 2012.  The room rate is $154 single/double, please ask for a room in the Vanguard - ICI room block.  Rooms are limited.  The hotel requires all reservations be guaranteed with a one night’s deposit by Wednesday, October 17, 2012 to receive the room block rate.  Deposits are refundable if the hotel receives notice of cancellation at least 48 hours prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained.

TRANSPORTATION

Committee attendees arriving at Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station by train can transfer to the SEPTA Thorndale/Paoli R5 local to Paoli in the same building.  Those arriving at Philadelphia International Airport can take the SEPTA R1 to Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station and then follow the directions above.  Vanguard has regular shuttle service from the Paoli Station to their campus each day.  The Desmond Hotel has shuttle service to and from the Paoli station and reservations are recommended.  Main Line Taxi & Limousine also services the station and can be reached at 610-272-1000.
