RE: INSTITUTE'S 1991 INVESTMENT ADVISERS CONFERENCE

The Investment Company Institute's 1991 Investment Advisers
Conference will be held June 12-14, 1991 in Washington, DC, at
the Sheraton Washington Hotel. The conference panels will focus
on current developments in SEC compliance and regulation, ERISA,
marketing, state developments, and legislative and judicial
developments. Marianne K. Smythe, the Director of the SEC's
Division of Investment Management; the Honorable Rick Boucher
(D-VA), a member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce;
and David George Ball, Department of Labor, Assistant Secretary
for the Pension and Welfare Benefits Administration, will be
guest speakers during the conference.
The Institute has sponsored investment adviser conferences
since 1984. They have become an important educational event for
advisers wishing to stay on top of current issues impacting the
industry. A highlight of the conference is the opportunity for
attendees to participate in a question and answer session with
the conference participants following each conference session.
Conference attendees will also be provided with a notebook
containing material from each of the sessions, which serves as a
valuable resource of information.
In addition to the program described in the enclosed
brochure, the conference will feature a vendor exhibition of
products and services that are available to investment advisers.
We expect approximately 25 vendors to participate in the
exhibition.

the conference brochure and return it to the Institute office as
soon as possible. Hotel reservations should be made by calling
the Sheraton Washington Hotel at 202/328-2000 directly. When
making your reservation, please be sure to indicate that you are
attending the Investment Adviser Conference. You also may want
to take advantage of the special air fares the Institute has
