This is to confirm that there will be a joint meeting of
the Accounting/Treasurers Committee and Independent Accountants
Advisory Group starting at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 1991
at the Embassy Row Hotel located at 2015 Massachusetts Avenue,
N.W., Washington, D.C. 20036. Lunch will be served and the
meeting is expected to continue until approximately
2:30 - 3:00 p.m. (see Memo to Accounting/Treasurers Committee
No. 2-91).
Although the room block is no longer in effect at the
$140.00 rate, you may still call the hotel at 202/265-1600 to get
sleeping accommodations at their regular rates.
If you have not already done so, please complete the
attached attendance form and return it to Rita Pemberton at the
address or fax number listed at the bottom of the form.
As you may have noticed, the Institute’s Legal Department
has scheduled a conference on the SEC’s Rule 2a-7 revisions on
March 26th, the same day as our meeting. We apologize to any
committee members for whom this scheduling represents a conflict.
However, since most of the committee members we have spoken with
about this have indicated that others in their firms will be
covering the 2a-7 conference, we have determined not to attempt
to re-schedule the committee meeting.
Also attached is the agenda survey form for the meeting.
Please complete the form with your agenda suggestions and return
it to me by March 14 at the address or fax number listed at the
bottom of the form.
