Draft Agenda for October 26 - 27 SEC Rules Committee Meeting and Dinner

TO: SEC RULES COMMITTEE No. 86-11 RE: DRAFT AGENDA FOR OCTOBER 26 - 27 SEC RULES COMMITTEE MEETING AND DINNER

 

As previously announced, an in-person meeting of the SEC Rules Committee is scheduled for Thursday, October 27th, with a dinner on Wednesday, October 26th.  Please note that the meeting will be held off-site at the Almas Conference Center, Sphinx Club, 1315 K Street, N.W., Washington, DC.  The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. Eastern time and end by 3:30 p.m.

The draft meeting agenda is attached.  We are pleased to highlight the following:

  • Eileen Rominger, Director, Division of Investment Management, SEC, will address the Committee during the morning portion of the meeting, along with Doug Scheidt, Chief Counsel, and Diane Blizzard, Managing Executive.  Please think of questions you would like to ask, or feel free to forward any questions you would like us to ask to frances@ici.org.
  • Paul Stevens, President and CEO of ICI, will lead a discussion of ICI’s FY2012 priorities and the launch of ICI Global, a new trade organization that will focus on the global fund industry.

If you have not already done so, please register for the meeting and dinner on our registration site at http://members.ici.org/reg/secrules.  The dinner will be held the evening of Wednesday, October 26th at Acadiana, 901 New York Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C.  The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m, followed by dinner at 7:15 p.m.  If you plan to attend please register as directed above, through our registration website.  As in the past, the cost of the dinner is $85.  Please note that if you cancel within 72 hours of the reception and dinner, your payment will not be refunded.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hamilton Crowne Plaza, 1001 14th St., N.W., Washington, D.C. for the evening of October 26th at a rate of $289 per night.  Due to the limited number of rooms, we urge you to make your hotel reservation as soon as possible.  To make reservations please call the hotel at (877) 270-1393.  Reservations must be cancelled within 72 hours in advance to avoid penalty.
