ICI October CCO Committee Meeting Indefinitely Postponed in Light of SEC Indefinitely Postponing Their October CCOutreach

TO: CHIEF COMPLIANCE OFFICER COMMITTEE No. 12-11 RE: ICI OCTOBER CCO COMMITTEE MEETING INDEFINITELY POSTPONED IN LIGHT OF SEC INDEFINITELY POSTPONING THEIR OCTOBER CCOUTREACH

 

By memorandum dated August 16, 2011, we notified you that the SEC had scheduled its next national CCOutreach program for October 25th. To coincide with the SEC’s program, we had scheduled the next meeting of the ICI Chief Compliance Officer Committee for October 26th. I have been advised by the SEC staff that their program has had to be postponed. While a new date has not yet been set for their program, they are looking at dates in January 2012. In light of the SEC’s postponement, we have decided to postpone our in-person Committee meeting so it can be held in conjunction with the SEC’s program. Once the SEC sets a new date, we will schedule our meeting accordingly and inform you of the new date.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this postponement. We will continue to hold the quarterly calls of the Committee in the interim. Our next call is scheduled for next week, Thursday, September 8th from 2-3:15 p.m. I will be sending Committee members an email this week soliciting topics and issues for next week’s call.
