Below, please find information about the May 2-3 meetings of ICI’s International Committee, as well as other related events occurring the week of May 2-6. If you have not done so already, please consider registering for these events.
Monday, May 2nd
International Committee Meeting: The next meeting of ICI’s International Committee will be held on Monday, May 2nd, from1 -3 p.m. in the Institute’s David Silver Conference Room (DSCR), 1401H Street, NW, 12th Floor, Washington, DC. Lunch will be served prior to the meeting.
At this meeting, we will have a presentation on the asset management industry in Hong Kong and China by Sally Wong, Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association, and a presentation on the Korean asset management industry by Michael Baek, Managing Director of Korea Financial Investment Association. Each of the presentations will be followed by ample time for discussion and questions. We will also have an update on the new Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR) regulations by Keith Lawson, ICI’s Senior Tax Counsel. A preliminary agenda is attached. International Committee Dinner: The annual dinner for International Committee members and international guests attending the Institute’s General Membership Meeting will be held on the evening of Monday, May 2nd. The dinner will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, 2660 Woodley Road, NW, Washington, DC, on the East Lawn, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Please register for the dinner via Cvent at http://members.ici.org/reg/ic/dinner.
Tuesday, May 3rd
ICI/EFAMA Joint Meeting: The annual joint meeting of ICI’s International Committee and the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) will be held the following day, Tuesday, May 3rd. The meeting will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, Madison Room. Representatives of the Asian and Latin American fund associations, as well as members of ICI’s International Operations Advisory Committee, have been invited to participate. The meeting will take place from 9 a.m. until approximately 4 p.m. Breakfast will be available beginning at 8:30 a.m. and lunch will be served during the meeting. A preliminary agenda is attached. Wednesday, May 4th
International Operations Advisory Committee Meeting: Committee members are also invited to participate in the International Operations Advisory Committee meeting on Wednesday, May 4th at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. The meeting will begin at 8 a.m. and will continue until approximately 1 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please register for the meeting via Cvent at http://members.ici.org/reg/ioac.
