NSCC MEMORANDUM ON COMMISSION SETTLEMENT SERVICE __________________________________________________________ The above referenced items are enclosed for your information as agreed at the December 14, 1990 committee meeting. In connection with the Postal Service proposal regarding automation based rate discounts, the Institute has recently established a five-person task force to consider possible additional input for the Postal Service. We will keep you informed of any related developments. Please note that the next meeting of the Committee is scheduled for February 28, 1991 at Raymond James and Associates in St. Petersburg, Florida. The meeting notice was mailed on January 15; a copy is enclosed for your convenience. The meeting schedule for the balance of 1991 is shaping up as follows: As shown on the first page of the enclosed meeting summary, June 13 was proposed as the next meeting date. This date is expected to be confirmed at the February 28 meeting. The Committee also proposed to meet in conjunction with the 1991 Operations Conference. The Conference has been scheduled for November 12-15 at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Therefore, a meeting date of Monday, November 11, is proposed to be held at or near the conference site and is expected to be confirmed at the February 28 meeting. December 12 was proposed as the final meeting date of the year. As this date would follow the prior meeting by only one month, we suggest that this date be cancelled and replaced with a mid-September date in order to avoid a long time period for Committee action between the June and November meetings.
