TO: TAX COMMITTEE No. 18-10 RE: DRAFT SUBMISSION RECOMMENDING TAX ISSUES FOR INCLUSION ON IRS/TREASURY GUIDANCE PRIORITY LIST; COMMENTS REQUESTED
Attached for your review is a draft of the ICI’s submission to the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) and the Treasury Department providing recommendations, in response to IRS Notice 2010-43, for items to be included on the IRS/Treasury 2010-2011 Guidance Priority List. The ICI has been recommending items for inclusion on this Guidance Priority List for more than ten years.
The Tax Committee will discuss this letter during the June 8 meeting in Fort Worth, Texas. If you cannot attend the meeting, please provide any comments on the letter to Keith Lawson (202/326-5832 or lawson@ici.org) or Karen Gibian (202/371-5432 or kgibian@ici.org) by the close of business on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. The letter will be submitted by the Notice’s deadline of June 11, 2010.
