TO: TAX COMMITTEE No. 17-10 RE: PRELIMINARY AGENDAS FOR JUNE 7 AND 8 TAX COMMITTEE MEETINGS IN FORT WORTH, TEXAS; DETAILS REGARDING JUNE 7 EVENING EVENTS
Attached are the preliminary agendas for the Tax Committee meetings to be held on Monday, June 7, and Tuesday, June 8, at the offices of the American Beacon Funds in Fort Worth, Texas. The offices’ address is 4151 Amon Carter Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76155. We will be meeting in the Flagship Room on the first floor of the American Airlines Credit Union Building. Attire for these meetings will be business casual.
As we previously informed you, the meeting on June 7 will begin at 2:00 p.m., and will involve international tax issues. The meeting on June 8, which will begin at 9:00 a.m., will involve a discussion of all issues of interest to the Tax Committee, including the ICI’s tax agenda and recent legislative and regulatory developments. Lunch will be served before the June 7 meeting and at the conclusion of the June 8 meeting.
Evening Events
Baseball Game
Many Tax Committee members have expressed interest in attending the 7:00 p.m. baseball game on June 7 between the Texas Rangers and the Seattle Mariners. Unlike in some prior years, this year Committee members will be responsible for the cost of their own tickets and dinner. We are in the process of determining the best mode of transportation to and from the game (which is eight miles from the meeting location).
If you wish to attend the baseball game on June 7, please use the link below to pay $30 for your ticket http://members.ici.org/reg/tax. You must re-register for the baseball game, even if you registered previously. Tickets will be distributed at the conclusion of the meeting on June 7.
Dinner
Other Tax Committee members have expressed interest in having dinner at a restaurant in Fort Worth. Sonia Bates, the American Beacon Funds Tax Committee representative, will make a reservation for interested members at Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, 812 Main Street, Ft. Worth, TX 76102 -- www.delfriscos.com. As in the past, members attending this dinner will split the cost. If you already have registered for the dinner, you do NOT need to register again. If you have not yet registered for the dinner, please do so, so we can give the restaurant an accurate count.
