TO: INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE No. 18-09
A preliminary agenda for the International Committee meeting on Thursday, February 4, is attached. We are pleased to announce that we will have two special presentations at this meeting. One presentation will address risk management and perspectives from the United Kingdom. The second presentation will be on the Middle East and special issues for funds and asset managers. We will also provide updates on current issues such as the Foreign Compliance Tax Act and the status of the proposed Alternative Fund Managers Directive in Europe.

The committee meeting will be held at the Investment Company Institute in Washington D.C., with offsite locations in Los Angeles, California and London, England. The California meeting will be hosted by Capital Research and Management Company. The London meeting will be hosted by Capital International Limited.
The meeting will begin at 12 p.m. Eastern time (9 a.m. Pacific time and 5 p.m. London time) and will last for approximately 2 hours. Lunch or a continental breakfast will be available at the US locations before the meeting.
Committee members may participate in person in one of three locations:
