TO: MUNICIPAL SECURITIES ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 53-09 RE: MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOVEMBER 19 - COMMITTEE MEETING; AGENDA ATTACHED
The next meeting of the Municipal Securities Advisory Committee has been scheduled for Thursday, November 19, 2009, at the offices of the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, N.W., 12th floor, Washington, DC. The meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time in the David Silver Conference Room and should conclude no later than 2:00 p.m.
An agenda is attached. Guest speakers will include Mary Simpkins from the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of Municipal Securities, Bob Plaze from the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Investment Management, and Tom Selman and Eric Moss from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority’s Regulatory Policy group. Speakers will discuss regulatory initiatives related to municipal securities and will seek input on any member concerns with respect to the municipal securities markets.
