The SEC has asked the Institute to collect information on
taxable money market fund commercial paper holdings to assist them
in considering possible changes to Rule 2a-7. While aggregate
figures based on the data may appear in the eventual SEC release,
individual fund information will be used for SEC internal analyses
only.
Please have the attached form completed and returned to me by
January 2, 1991. The response of each member complex is important
to achieve an accurate picture of commercial paper holdings. We
appreciate your cooperation.
