TO: SEC RULES COMMITTEE No. 50-09 RE: NOTICE OF SEC RULES COMMITTEE MEETING AND DINNER; OCTOBER 28-29, 2009
An extended, in-person meeting of the SEC Rules Committee has been scheduled for
Thursday, October 29th at the offices of the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. As we have done for the past few October meetings, we are planning a special program featuring outside speakers and a small group discussion session, in addition to the regular meeting agenda. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. Eastern time and end at approximately 3:30 p.m.
We would appreciate your input on potential topics for our small group discussions or other topics you would like to discuss at the meeting, so you will be prompted to provide them when you register as described below. Your suggestions will help us ensure that we address the issues of greatest interest. Additional meeting details are provided below.
Committee Dinner
A cocktail reception and dinner will be held the evening of Wednesday, October 28th at the Mio Restaurant, 1110 Vermont Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C., with cocktails beginning at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:00 p.m. If you plan to attend, please register as directed below. All participants will be charged $85.00. Please note that if you cancel within 72 hours of the reception and dinner, your payment will not be refunded.
Meeting Registration
Please register for the meeting on our registration site at http://members.ici.org/reg/secrules. In completing the online registration form, please provide any suggested topics for the small group discussions and the regular meeting agenda. Hotel Accommodations
We have reserved a block of rooms at the JW Marriott Washington, 1331 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C. for the evening of October 28th at a rate of $289.00 per night. To make reservations, please call the hotel at 800/228-9290 or 202/393-2000 and mention that you are an Investment Company Institute meeting attendee. Please note that due to the limited number of rooms, all reservations must be guaranteed by October 7th to receive the discounted rate. Reservations must be cancelled at least 72 hours in advance to avoid penalty.
