In conjunction with the Institute’s Capital Markets Conference on September 24, 2009, the next meeting of the Equity Markets Advisory Committee has been scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, 2009. The meeting will take place in the Cantor/Jolson Room at the New York Marriott Marquis, 1535 Broadway, New York, N.Y. 10036. The meeting will begin at 2:00 p.m. Eastern. A draft meeting agenda is attached.
In addition to a discussion of the agenda items, senior staff from both the SEC and FINRA will attend the meeting to discuss trading and market structure initiatives. Given the number of significant issues currently being examined relating to trading and market structure reform, please make every effort to send a representative from your firm to the meeting. We anticipate that the meeting will conclude no later than 5:00 p.m.
