TO: BROKER/DEALER ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 48-09 RE: BDAC MEETING NOTICE - OCTOBER 7-8, 2009 AND COST BASIS REPORTING TASK FORCE MEETINGS OCTOBER 6-7
The next meeting of the Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee will be held on Wednesday, October 7and Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the offices of Legg Mason located at 100 International Drive, Baltimore, MD 21202. Legg Mason is approximately 11 miles from Baltimore-Washington International Airport (25 minutes estimated driving time). The meetings will take place in the Java room on the fourth floor. Attendees will need to show a photo ID to security at the first floor lobby desk before proceeding to the conference room. On Wednesday, October 7, lunch will be served at 12:00 noon, the meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. ET. On Thursday, October 8, the meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. ET. Continental breakfast will be provided beginning at 8:15 a.m., lunch will be served at noon , and the meeting is expected to end at 2:00 p.m. ET. Attire for the meetings is business casual.
The BDAC Cost Basis Reporting Task Force is also scheduled to meet prior to the BDAC meeting at the offices of Legg Mason. On Tuesday, October 6, the meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Java Room on the fourth floor. Continental Breakfast will be available before the meeting, lunch will be provided at 12:00 noon, and the meeting will conclude at 5:30 p.m. ET. On Wednesday, October 7, the CBR Task Force meeting will continue in the same conference room starting at 9:00 a.m. ET. Continental breakfast will be available before the meeting and lunch will be served at 12:00 noon ET before the start of the BDAC meeting. Please provide a photo ID to security on the first floor before proceeding to the conference room. Attire for the meetings is business casual.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel located at 700 Aliceanna Street, Baltimore, MD 21202 for the evenings of October 6th and 7th at a rate of $189.00 per night. The offices of Legg Mason are across the street from the hotel. To make reservations, please call the hotel at (410) 385-3000 and indicate that you are an Investment Company Institute meeting attendee. Please make your hotel reservations as soon as possible as rooms are limited. All reservations must be guaranteed by September 15, 2009 to receive the room block rate. Reservations must be cancelled 48 hours prior to the day of arrival to avoid penalty.
The Committee dinner will be held on the evening of Wednesday, October 7th. More information regarding the dinner location will be forthcoming. The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. with dinner being served at 7:30 p.m. Committee members (or their substitutes) electing to attend the committee dinner will pay a standard amount of $85.00 via credit card as part of the registration process. Please note that if you confirm attendance for the BDAC dinner and cancel within 3 business days of the scheduled event, you will be charged the $85.00. Attire for the dinner is business casual.
