SEC RULES COMMITTEE No. 25-09 RE: SEC/DOL ANNOUNCE JOINT HEARING ABOUT TARGET DATE FUNDS
The Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Labor announced that they will hold a joint one-day hearing on June 18, 2009 on issues relating to investments in target date funds and similar investment options by 401(k) plan participants and other investors. [1] The hearing will be held at DOL and will be open to the public.
Persons interested to participate must submit a written request, along with an outline, by 3:30 p.m., E.T., June 5, 2009. The list of witnesses and hearing agenda should be available on or after June 10, 2009. The Institute plans to submit a request to testify.
