TO: TAX COMMITTEE No. 15-09 RE: DRAFT SUBMISSION ON TAX ISSUES FOR IRS/TREASURY GUIDANCE PRIORITY LIST; COMMENTS REQUESTED
Notice 2009-43 [1] invites public comment on recommendations for the Internal Revenue Service and the Treasury Department’s 2009-2010 Guidance Priority List. [2] The Institute plans to submit a letter recommending tax items to be included on the list by the Notice’s deadline of May 31, 2009. [3]
Attached for your review is a draft submission requesting the completion of several projects currently on the 2008-2009 Guidance Priority List and the inclusion of several new projects, as discussed on last week’s Tax Committee conference call.
