TO: TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE No. 13-09 RE: TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE MEETING INFORMATION (JUNE 11 & 12) AND HOTEL DEADLINE (MAY 18)
The next meeting of the Technology Committee and BCP Sub-Committee will take place on Thursday and Friday, June 11 & 12, 2009 at the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, NW, David Silver Conference Room, 12th Floor, Washington, DC. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end by 3:00 p.m. on both days.
The June meeting structure will be the same as our February meeting. That is, we will have a separate BCP track on the agenda. Each day the BCP Sub-Committee will separate from the Technology Committee and have discussions and presentations specifically aimed at their interests. The two groups will spend time each day together as well to more effectively cover items of more general relevance.
A block of rooms at the Sofitel Lafayette Square, 806 15th Street, NW, (202) 730-8800 is reserved for Committee members for the evenings of June 10 & 11, 2009. The room rate is $315 single/double; please ask for a room in the Investment Company Institute’s room block. Rooms are limited. The hotel requires all reservations be guaranteed with a one night’s deposit by Monday, May 18, 2009 to receive the room block rate. Deposits are refundable if the hotel receives notice of cancellation at least 48 hours prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained.
There is a committee dinner scheduled for June 11th at BLT Steak, 1625 Eye Street, NW, 202-689-8999. If you plan to sign up for the dinner, there is a cost of $85.00. Please note, if you confirm attendance for the TC dinner and cancel within 3 business days of the scheduled event, you will be charged for your portion of the pre-arranged dinner.
Please register for this committee meeting and dinner using our cvent online registration at http://members.ici.org/reg/tech.
