June Tax Committee Meeting Registration

TO: TAX COMMITTEE No. 14-09     RE: JUNE TAX COMMITTEE MEETING REGISTRATION

 

The June Tax Committee meeting will be held, as previously announced, [1] on Monday, June 22, and Tuesday, June 23, at the offices of the PIMCO Funds, 840 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660.   The meeting will be in-person only; the PIMCO meeting room to which we have been bumped does not accommodate teleconferencing.

The meeting on June 22, which will begin at 2:00 p.m., will focus on distressed debt issues and include presentations by representatives of PricewaterhouseCoopers and Cohn & Barr.

These two firms will sponsor the June 22 baseball outing, at which the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim will host the Colorado Rockies.

The meeting on June 23, which will begin at 9:00 a.m., will involve a discussion of all issues of interest to the Tax Committee, including the ICI’s tax agenda and recent legislative and regulatory developments.

 

Online Registration

We are pleased to inform you that we are now offering online registration using Cvent for members attending the ICI committee meetings and for dinner.  Committee members who prefer to dine at a restaurant not connected with a baseball stadium will split the cost of dinner on their credit cards.  To register for the Tax Committee meetings and dinner, please visit our registration site at http://members.ici.org/reg/tax. Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credit

Meeting attendees are eligible for approximately 7.00 hours of CPE credit (Taxation). The Investment Company Institute is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (“NASBA”) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be addressed to NASBA, 150 Fourth Avenue North, Suite 700, Nashville, TN 37219-2417, www.nasba.org.
