APS MEETING NOTICE - JUNE 3, 2009

 

              The next meeting of the Accounting Policy Subcommittee will take place on Wednesday, June 3.  Lunch will be available beginning at 1:30 p.m.  The meeting will begin at 2:00 p.m. and conclude at 6:00 p.m.  We ask that audit firm representatives on the Subcommittee plan on joining the meeting at 4:00 p.m.  The meeting will take place in the Institute’s 11th Floor Conference Room.  The Accounting/Treasurers Committee meeting will take place on Thursday, June 4.  Accounting/Treasurers Committee members will receive a separate meeting notice.

 

Online Registration

 

              We are pleased to offer online registration using Cvent for ICI committee meetings and associated dinners.  To register for the Accounting Policy Subcommittee meeting and dinner, please visit our registration site at http://members.ici.org/reg/accountingpolicy.  Committee members electing to attend the committee dinner will pay a standard amount via credit card as part of the registration process.  If you have any questions about registration, please contact Agnes Thomas at 202/326-5846 or agnes@ici.org.

 

Subcommittee Dinner

 

              The Subcommittee dinner will be held on Wednesday, June 3 at 7:00 p.m.  Details on the venue will be forthcoming.  If you plan to sign up for the dinner, the cost will be $85.00.  We ask that you provide your credit card information when you register on Cvent.

 

Hotel Accommodations

 

              A block of rooms has been reserved for meeting attendees at the J.W. Marriott located at 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC for the evening of Wednesday, June 3.  The room rate is $249 plus tax.  To make a reservation, please call the hotel at 202/393-2000 and ask for a room in the Investment Company Institute block of rooms.  Please make your hotel reservations as soon as possible as rooms are limited.  All reservations must be guaranteed by May 13 to receive the room block rate.  Reservations must be cancelled within 48 hours prior to arrival to avoid penalty.

 

Suggested Agenda Items

 

              We need to get your input on agenda items for the meeting.  Please e-mail your suggestions to Greg Smith (smith@ici.org) or Brian Wixted (bwixted@oppenheimerfunds.com).  Our experience indicates that if topics are circulated in advance, the value of the discussion is considerably enhanced.  A preliminary agenda will be circulated to the Subcommittee prior to the meeting.
