TO: INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 7-09 RE: PRELIMINARY AGENDA FOR IOAC MEETING - MAY 5-6, 2009
The next meeting of the ICI’s International Operations Advisory Committee (“IOAC”) will take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 in the David Silver Conference Room (“DSCR”) at the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H St., N.W., 12th Floor, Washington, D.C. 20005. The meeting will begin at 8:00 a.m. ET with continental breakfast and will continue until approximately 12:00 p.m. The IOAC will then have a joint lunch with the International Committee (IC) from 12:00-1:00pm ET. The IOAC has been invited to participate in the International Committee meeting, which will take place following lunch from 1:00-3:00p.m.
On May 6th, the IOAC has been invited to participate in a meeting with both EFAMA and the International Committee. The meeting will take place in the DSCR beginning with continental breakfast at 8:00 a.m. ET and is expected to conclude by 2:45p.m. The meeting with EFAMA has been lengthened this year and will cover topics such as financial regulatory reform, money market funds, and issues arising as a result of the Madoff events. The topics will be examined from the European and U.S. perspective. A member of the staff of the SEC’s Division of Investment Management also will participate in the discussion on certain topics. Attire for the meetings is business.
