TO: CLOSED-END INVESTMENT COMPANY COMMITTEE No. 1-09 RE: DRAFT ICI QUARTERLY SURVEY OF CLOSED-END FUNDS; YOUR COMMENTS REQUESTED BY FEBRUARY 11th
At the last committee meeting, we discussed the possibility of the Institute collecting additional data with respect to closed-end funds’ distributions and leverage. Based on those discussions, we have drafted the attached new quarterly survey of closed-end funds.
Please provide me with your views on the usefulness of the new data and the feasibility of providing the Institute with the requested information, along with any other comments on the survey, by February 11th. After finalizing the contents of the survey, we will inform you of the timing of the launch of the new quarterly survey, which is dependent on several factors, including programming changes that will be need to be made.
