INDEPENDENT ACCOUNTANTS ADVISORY GROUP No. 1-09     RE: ACCOUNTING/TREASURERS COMMITTEE MEETING - MARCH 5, 2009

A joint meeting of the Accounting/Treasurers Committee and the Independent Accountants Advisory Group has been scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the offices of the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, NW, Washington, DC. The meeting will be held in the David Silver Conference Room on the 12th floor at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time. Light breakfast will be available prior to the meeting. The meeting is expected to conclude at approximately 1:00 p.m. Lunch will be served after the conclusion of the meeting.

Rick Sennett, Chief Accountant in the SEC’s Division of Investment Management will attend the meeting and discuss current accounting and financial reporting issues.

Hotel Accommodations

A block of rooms has been reserved for meeting attendees at the J.W. Marriott located at 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC for the evening of Wednesday, March 4. The room rate is $249 plus tax. To make a reservation, please call the hotel at 202/393-2000 or the Marriott central reservations line at 800/393-2503 and ask for a room in the Investment Company Institute block of rooms. Please make your hotel reservations as soon as possible as rooms are limited. All reservations must be guaranteed by February 11th to receive the room block rate. Reservations must be cancelled within 48 hours prior to arrival to avoid penalty.

Continuing Professional Education Credit

Meeting attendees are eligible for 3 hours of CPE credit (Taxation, Accounting/Auditing, and Specialized Knowledge and Applications). The Investment Company Institute is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
