TO: BROKER/DEALER ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 45-08 RE: BDAC MEETING NOTICE - FEBRUARY 3-4, 2009
The next meeting of the Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee will be held on Tuesday, February 3 and Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the offices of LPL Financial Corporation located at 9785 Towne Centre Drive, San Diego, CA 92121. LPL Financial is approximately 16 miles (23 minutes estimated driving time) from San Diego International Airport. The meetings will take place in Plaza Two on the first floor in Learning Center A. Attendees will need to check in with security before proceeding to the conference room. Limited visitor parking is available on-site. On Tuesday, February 3, lunch will be served at 12:00 noon, the meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. On Wednesday, February 4, the meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. Continental breakfast will be provided beginning at 8:15 a.m., lunch will be served at noon, and the meeting is expected to end at 2:00 p.m. Attire for the meetings is business casual.
The BDAC Omnibus Task Force is also scheduled to meet to discuss the Omni/SERV project prior to the BDAC meeting at the offices of LPL Financial Corporation. The meeting will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 3rd in the same location as the committee meetings mentioned above. Please check in with security before proceeding to the conference room. Breakfast will be provided before the start of the meeting and lunch will be served at 12:00 noon. Attire for the meeting is business casual.
Hotel Accommodations
A block of rooms has been reserved at the San Diego Marriott La Jolla located at 4240 La Jolla Village Drive, La Jolla, CA 92037 for the evenings of February 2nd and 3rd at a rate of $229.00 per night. The offices of LPL Financial Corporation are approximately 1.4 miles (4 minutes estimated driving time) from the Marriott La Jolla. To make reservations, please call the hotel at (858) 587-1414 and indicate that you are an Investment Company Institute meeting attendee. Please make your hotel reservations as soon as possible as rooms are limited. All reservations must be guaranteed by January 9, 2009 to receive the block room rate. Reservations must be cancelled 48 hours prior to the day of arrival to avoid penalty.
Committee Dinner
The Committee dinner will be held on the evening of Tuesday, February 3 at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar located at 8970 University Center Lane, San Diego, CA 92122. Fleming’s is less than a mile (about a 12 minute walk) from the Marriott La Jolla. The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. with dinner being served at 7:30 p.m. Committee members (or their substitutes) electing to attend the committee dinner will pay a standard amount of $85.00 via credit card as part of the registration process. Please note that if you confirm attendance for the BDAC dinner and cancel within 3 business days of the scheduled event, you will be charged the $85.00. Attire for the dinner is business casual.
