The next meeting of the ICI’s Equity Markets Advisory Committee is scheduled for next Tuesday, December 9, 2008 in New York. The meeting will take place at the offices of the New York Stock Exchange, 11Wall Street, Room 632, New York, NY. The meeting will begin at 2:15 p.m. Eastern time, immediately following the meeting of the NYSE’s ITAC Committee, on which several Committee members serve. The final meeting agenda is attached.
Given the importance of the issues that we will discuss and the guest speakers that we will have at the meeting, please make every effort to send a representative from your firm to the meeting. Erik Sirri, Director of the SEC’s Division of Trading and Markets, will attend the meeting to discuss trading and market structure initiatives at the SEC and Duncan Niederauer, CEO of the New York Stock Exchange, will attend the meeting to discuss initiatives at NYSE Euronext impacting funds.
We anticipate that the meeting will conclude no later than 5:00 p.m. ICI has recently instituted online registration for committee meetings. If you have not done so already, to register for the meeting, please visit our registration site at http://members.ici.org/reg/equity. Please register by December 5 so that we can provide your names to the NYSE for purposes of building security. We look forward to seeing you on December 9.
