TO: EQUITY MARKETS ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 61-08 RE: REMINDER - DECEMBER 9 EQUITY MARKETS ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING; DRAFT AGENDA
As we previously informed you, the next meeting of the Equity Markets Advisory Committee has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 9, 2008. The meeting will take place at the offices of the New York Stock Exchange, 11 Wall Street, Room 632, New York, NY. The meeting will begin at 2:15 p.m. Eastern time, immediately following the meeting of the NYSE’s ITAC Committee, on which several Committee members serve. A draft meeting agenda is attached.
Erik Sirri, Director of the SEC’s Division of Trading and Markets, will attend the meeting to discuss trading and market structure initiatives at the SEC. Given the significance of these issues to funds, please make every effort to send a representative from your firm to the meeting. We anticipate that the meeting will conclude no later than 5:00 p.m.
ICI has recently instituted online registration for committee meetings. To register for the meeting, please visit our registration site at http://members.ici.org/reg/equity. Please register by December 5 so that we can provide your names to the NYSE for purposes of building security. In addition, please provide any additional items you would like to discuss at the meeting on the online form. We look forward to seeing you on December 9.
