TO: MUNICIPAL SECURITIES ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 40-08 RE: REMINDER - NOVEMBER 13 MEETING OF THE MUNICIPAL SECURITIES ADVISORY COMMITTEE; DRAFT AGENDA ATTACHED
A meeting of the Municipal Securities Advisory Committee has been scheduled for Thursday, November 13, 2008, at the offices of the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, N.W., 12th Floor, Washington, DC. The meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time in the David Silver Conference Room and should conclude no later than 2pm. A draft agenda is attached.
Erik Sirri, Director, and Martha Haines, Chief, Office of Municipal Securities, of the SEC’s Division of Trading and Markets, will attend the meeting to discuss, among other things, developments in the credit markets affecting municipal securities and SEC disclosure initiatives. Given the developments in these areas, please make every effort to send a representative from your firm to the meeting.
