MONEY MARKET FUNDS ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 34-08     RE: REMINDER -- OCTOBER 16 INSTITUTIONAL MONEY MARKET FUNDS ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING IN NEW YORK CITY; DRAFT AGENDA ATTACHED

 

As we previously informed you, a meeting of the Institutional Money Market Funds Advisory Committee has been scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at the offices of JPMorgan, 270 Park Avenue, New York, New York.  The meeting will begin at Noon Eastern time on the 50th Floor and we anticipate it will conclude no later than 4:00 p.m.  A draft agenda is attached.

Andrew “Buddy” Donohue, Director of the SEC’s Division of Investment Management, will attend the meeting to discuss, among other things, developments in the credit markets affecting money market funds.  Given these developments in this area, please make every effort to send a representative from your firm to the meeting.
