TO: INTERNAL AUDIT ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 3-08 RE: NOTICE OF INTERNAL AUDIT ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING IN WASHINGTON, D.C. ON OCTOBER 28 AND INFORMAL DINNER ON OCTOBER 27; RSVP BY OCTOBER 17
The next meeting of the Internal Audit Advisory Committee of the Investment Company Institute (ICI) is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Washington, DC. The specific location of the meeting will be announced in advance of the meeting. (Due to other meeting conflicts, the meeting will not be held at the ICI.)
I am pleased to announce that John Walsh, Chief Counsel of the SEC’s Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations (OCIE), has agreed to join us for a portion of the meeting to interact with the Committee on issues of mutual interest.
In addition to the meeting on October 28th, there will be an informal dinner of the Committee on Monday, October 27th at a place and time to be determined. Further details regarding this dinner will be provided to attendees as soon as they become available. All persons attending the dinner will be billed for their portion of the total cost.
No later than Friday, October 17th, please let us know by faxing the attached sheet to Lynnette Smith at 202-326-5827, whether you plan to attend the meeting and dinner. If you are planning to attend the meeting, please also include in your response any issues you would like to have discussed at the meeting. As with previous meetings of the Committee, we are asking meeting attendees to provide at least one issue (or question) for discussion at the meeting.
Once we receive your responses to this memo, we will circulate an agenda for the meeting and provide details of the location of the meeting and the informal dinner.
