TO: BROKER/DEALER ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 27-08 RE: BDAC MEETING NOTICE - OCTOBER 29-30, 2008
The next meeting of the Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee will be held on Wednesday, October 29 and Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the Investment Company Institute located at 1401 H Street NW, Washington, DC 20005. The Investment Company Institute is less than 5 miles (15 minutes estimated driving time) from Reagan National Airport and 2 blocks from the JW Marriott. The meetings will take place on the twelfth floor in the David Silver Conference Room. Attendees will need to check in with security on the first floor before proceeding to the elevators. On Wednesday, October 29, lunch will be served at 12:00 noon, the meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. On Thursday, October 30, the meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. Continental breakfast will be provided beginning at 8:15 a.m., lunch will be served at noon, and the meeting is expected to end at 2:00 p.m. Attire for the meetings is business.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the JW Marriott located at 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC 20004 for the evenings of October 28th and 29th at a rate of $309.00 per night. To make reservations, please call the hotel at (202)393-2000 and indicate that you are an Investment Company Institute meeting attendee. Please make your hotel reservations as soon as possible as rooms are limited. All reservations must be guaranteed by September 29, 2008 to receive the room block rate. Reservations must be cancelled 48 hours prior to the day of arrival to avoid penalty.
The Committee dinner will be held on the evening of Wednesday, October 29 at Lucky Strike located at 701 Seventh Street NW, Washington, DC 20001. Lucky Strike is approximately 9 blocks from the JW Marriott. A reception including bowling and buffet-style dinner will be from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Attire for the dinner is business casual. Please note that if you confirm attendance for the BDAC dinner and cancel within 72 hours of the scheduled event, you will be charged the $85.00.

Committee members (or their substitutes) electing to attend the committee dinner will pay a standard amount of $85.00 via credit card as part of the registration process. Please note that the only way to register for the BDAC meeting and dinner is through the Cvent link above.
