TO: SMALL FUNDS COMMITTEE No. 19-08     RE: IMPACT OF SEC PROPOSAL TO REQUIRE FUNDS TO SUBMIT RISK/RETURN SUMMARY INFORMATION IN XBRL;  CONFERENCE CALL SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 30

The Securities and Exchange Commission has proposed rules that would require all open-end management investment companies to submit the information contained in the risk/return summary section of their prospectus using eXtensible Business Reporting Language.

We are seeking your reaction to the proposal and specifically the impact to Small Funds of the requirement to provide a new exhibit containing risk/return summary information in XBRL format.

We have scheduled a call with members of the Small Funds Committee to discuss this proposal on June 30, 2008 at 2:00pm EST. If you would like to participate, please RSVP to Beth Sumler (esumler@ici.org or 202-326-5970). You will be sent the dial-in information when you RSVP.

We look forward to speaking with you Monday.
