June 11 And 12, 2008 Tax Committee Meetings In Houston, Texas

TO: TAX COMMITTEE No. 15-08     RE: JUNE 11 AND 12, 2008 TAX COMMITTEE MEETINGS IN HOUSTON, TEXAS

 

The next regularly-scheduled meetings of the Tax Committee will be held on June 11 and June 12, 2008 in Houston, Texas at the office of Invesco Aim Advisors, Inc., 11 Greenway Plaza, Suite 100, Houston, Texas.  The Wednesday, June 11 meeting (on an issue to be determined in early June) will begin at 2:00 p.m. and be preceded by lunch.  The Thursday, June 12 Tax Committee meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. and be preceded by breakfast.  A complete preliminary agenda for both the June 11 and June 12 meetings will be distributed approximately one week prior to the meetings.

 

Arrangements for the October 2008 Tax Committee meetings also have been finalized.  Those meetings will be held at the ICI’s offices in Washington, DC on Wednesday, October 15 and Thursday, October 16.

Hotel Reservations

 

              For the June meeting, a block of rooms has been arranged at the Renaissance Houston Hotel Green Plaza, 6 Greenway Plaza East, Houston, TX 77046.  Please make your reservations by calling the hotel directly at (713) 629-1200.  To receive the preferred hotel rate of $129 per night plus tax, reserve your hotel room prior to May 13, 2008, and mention the Investment Company Institute group rate when making the reservation.

Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credit

 

              Meeting attendees are eligible for approximately 7.00 hours of CPE credit (Taxation).  The Investment Company Institute is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (“NASBA”) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.  State boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.  Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be addressed to NASBA, 150 Fourth Avenue North, Suite 700, Nashville, TN 37219-2417, ww.nasba.org.
